Ministry Teams

Missions: The Missions Team will organize, promote, direct, and facilitate the missions program of the church. The Missions Team will develop mission projects and trips in the Acts 1:8 model – locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. The Missions Team will promote and assist other ministries of the church in the area of mission involvement and keep the church informed about mission opportunities. This team will annually recommend to the church a goal for the World Mission Offering. Team Captain: Mary Rudloff
Evangelism: The Evangelism Team will lead the church in doing the work of evangelism through training and equipping members in personal evangelism. This team will organize outreach efforts to the community by keeping abreast of the most effective methods of reaching people with the Gospel. The Evangelism Team will lead the church in planning, organizing, and facilitating any special evangelistic services (revivals). Prayer Team: The Prayer Team will lead the church in the ministry of prayer. This may include an organized Prayer Ministry, special days of prayer, or other prayer-focused activities as the team might determine. This team’s main focus will be to keep prayer a priority and practice in the life of the church. Team Captain: Jim Santini Worship Team: The Worship Team will work with and under the leadership of the Associate Pastor for Music and Worship in planning, promoting, and facilitating the worship services of the church. Team Captain: George Haltiwanger Senior Adult Ministry Team: The Senior Adult Team will work with and under the direction of the Associate Pastor for Adults in ministering to the senior adults of our church and community. This team will identify the needs of Senior Adults and plan ways to meet those needs. This team will also plan, promote, and facilitate ways in which Senior Adults can be involved in ministry to the church family. This team will serve to assist the Pastor to Adults in Senior Adult fellowships and trips. Team Captain: Tom Schoonmaker Youth Ministry Team: The Youth Ministry Team will work with the Youth Director in ministering to the Youth of our church and community. This team will assist the Youth Director in planning, promoting, and facilitating ways to reach Youth for Christ and disciple them. This team will assist the Youth Director in planning, promoting, and facilitating Youth events, trips, and camps. Team Captain: Jennifer Hutson, Art & Robin Nichols Children’s Ministry Team: The Children’s Ministry Team will work with and under the direction of the Children’s Minister in ministering to the Children of our church and community. This team will assist the Children’s Minister in planning, promoting, and facilitating ways to reach Children for Christ and disciple them. This team will assist the Children’s Minister in planning, promoting, and facilitating Children’s events, trips, and camps, including Vacation Bible School. Team Captain: Preschool Ministry Team: The Preschool Ministry Team will work with and under the direction of the Preschool Director in ministering to the Preschoolers of our church and community. This team will assist the Preschool Director in the area of Sunday School, and all other areas where Preschoolers are concerned, to provide the highest quality care and instruction for Preschoolers. Team Captain: Bonnie Steedly Sports Ministry Team: The Sports Ministry Team will work in planning, promoting, and facilitating the Sports Ministries of our church, including Upward. This team will focus on using our Sports Ministry as a means of ministry and outreach to the community. Team Captain: Transportation Team: The Transportation Team will work to secure and maintain the church’s vehicles. This team will have oversight in the training and approval of all drivers in accordance with the church’s adopted guidelines and insurance requirements. Team Captain: |
Women’s Ministry Team: The Women’s Ministry Team will work in planning, promoting, and facilitating ministry to the women of our church and community. This team will assist the Women on Missions Ministry Director in planning, promoting, and facilitating mission work in our congregation. This Team should focus on ways to disciple women, offering opportunities for both fellowship and service. Team Captain: Claudette McCall
Men’s Ministry Team: The Men’s Ministry Team will work with and under the direction of the Men’s Ministry Director in planning, promoting, and facilitating ministry and outreach to the men of our church and community. This team will assist the Men’s Ministry Director in planning, promoting, and facilitating ways to disciple men, offering opportunities for both fellowship and service. Team Captain: Eddie McKnight Media Ministry Team: The Media Ministry Team will work with and under the direction of the Media Ministry Director in developing, operating, and maintaining the Media Ministry of our church, which includes broadcasting television and radio programs and the operation and maintenance of the church’s Website. Audio services also falls under the direction of this team. Team Captain: Bob Warner Events Team (Hospitality): The Events Team will be called upon to assist in the planning of certain special events and will supply the logistical support needed for such events, which includes both the setting up and breaking down of tables, chairs, and other physical details as needed. Team Captain: Shelby Clark Decorating Team: The Decorating Team will determine and supply the decorating needs for the church throughout the year and during special events and holidays. This team will also determine and supply more permanent furnishing and decorative appointments to the overall church facility. Team Captain: Linda Bodiford Bereavement Team: The Bereavement Team will be called upon in the event of a death in the church family to supply a meal to the family on, or before, the day of the funeral service according to the adopted guidelines of the church. This team will coordinate with the family a suitable place and time for the meal. Team Captain: Eunice Reardon Facilities Team: The Facilities Team will evaluate and develop plans for improving and maintaining the facilities of the church. This team will further lead church volunteers in providing the labor needed to address facility needs where this is practical. For larger and more involved projects, this team will work with the Church Administrator in getting the work accomplished by skilled professionals. Team Captain: Ray Bowen Office Support Team: The Office Support Team will assist the church office personnel when the church office personnel are temporarily absent from the office. This team will also assist the church office personnel and ministerial staff with special mailings, the processing and handling of unusual amounts of printed materials, and other clerical needs when necessary. Team Captain: Harriett Thrush Grounds Team: The Grounds Team will evaluate and develop plans for improving and maintaining the grounds of the church. This team will further lead church volunteers in providing the labor needed where this is practical.
