September 14, 2008 (Sunday). What would happen if hundreds of students gathered together and in one voice cried out to God? How would we be changed? How would our neighborhoods, our cities, even the Low Country be changed? Join us and see what God will do on this important day. We will leave the church parking lot at 3 PM. This Franklin Graham associated event is from 4:00-5:30 PM at the North Charleston Coliseum. Bring a few dollars cash and afterwards we will grab a bite to eat. Will call home upon our return.

September 24, 2008 (Wednesday). Make plans to attend school a little early this Wednesday to join hundreds of teenagers around the country as we connect with God in prayer. Check with your particular school to find out the details.

 

 

Operation Christmas Child

November 28-29, 2008 (Friday-Saturday). We will travel to the largest distribution center of Samaritan's Purse located in Charlotte, NC to assist with the processing of Christmas shoeboxes. These shoeboxes filled with toys will be shipped to 100 countries all around the world and given to children in poverty stricken nations. Not only is this kind of work fun, it's also rewarding to know that you have helped make Christmas special for a child that might not otherwise have Christmasl.

We are scheduled to work on Friday from 4-10 PM. A sign-up list is now in the youth room. I have 20 spots available--10 guys and 10 girls. Once the spots are gone they are gone. You must sign up by Wednesday, October 1, 2008 and turn in a $20 deposit by that same night.. The balance of the trip will be due on Wednesday, November 5, 2008. The balance will be in the neighborhood of $20-25.

Once you pay the deposit you will be expected to pay the balance of the trip even if for some reason you are not able to go! All money needs to be turned in to Rita in the office. Any youth age 12 that is interested in going please see me before signing up.
