George was born and raised in Anderson, SC. He graduated from Anderson Junior College and then transferred to Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee. He then joined the U. S. Army and went straight to Vietnam. When he returned, he was stationed in Colorado where he met Patricia Susan Wood, a senior at the University of Northern Colorado. It was "love at first sight", and they were married January 1, 1971 at 1 p.m

Doug was born in Alabama, raised in central Florida and has lived most of his life in the Charleston area. His wife, Dianne, is a kindergarten teacher at St. John's Christian Academy. They have two children: Jeff who lives in Charleston and works at Blackbaud on Daniel Island, and Jenny, who lives in Greenville and works for Milliken, Inc.

Michael was born in Alexandria, Virginia on his great-grandparents 50 th wedding anniversary. He was raised in the Charleston area and is a 2000 graduate of Charleston Southern University. He went on to attend Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he graduated in 2004.
