Traci Butler, Children's Minister

Personal: Traci was born in Orangeburg, SC. She moved to Moncks Corner as a child, and she graduated from Berkeley High School. She is married to Moncks Corner native, Lamar Butler and together, they have three children: Andrew, Adam, and Saralynn. She has homeschooled the boys, and has operated a tutoring business from home.

Education/Ministry: She graduated from the College of Charleston with Bachelor of Sciences in Elementary Education. She taught 5th grade at Macedonia Middle school for five years, before her first child was born. She quit teaching professionally so that she could stay at home with her children.

Traci joined the staff of FBC in August, 2007 when the church created a position for a part-time children's ministry director. Since her own children are involved in the children's ministry at FBC, felt called to develop this ministry into one with a potential to reach the most teachable of God's creations with the good news of Jesus!

Interesting Fact: Lamar and Traci went to elementary, middle, and high school together, were voted most talented their senior year, and shared rides back and forth to college, but never were "sweet" on each other until both were established in their respective careers. God brought them together through the singles ministry of FBC, and the rest is history!
